A studio, not a chain.
Vela is a boutique medical aesthetics studio in La Jolla — physician-supervised, injector-led, conservative by training. We treat faces, not features.
We opened Vela in 2021 with one rule: treat the way we'd want to be treated.
Dr. Camila Reyes spent a decade working in busy multi-provider clinics across San Diego. She watched patients get rushed through 12-minute appointments, oversold, and over-treated. Vela was a deliberate response — longer windows, anatomical mapping for every face, and the freedom to say "not today."
Today we serve La Jolla with the same standard of care: a board-certified medical director, nurses and NPs with at least five years of injectable experience, and a consultation-first approach to every new client.
Four things we believe.
Under-treat first
We dose conservatively. You can always add. You cannot subtract.
Photograph everything
Standardized lighting, every visit. The record is yours; the comparisons are honest.
Recommend less
If the right answer is to wait, we will tell you. Some of our best visits end without a treatment.
Anatomical, not algorithmic
We don't follow trends — we follow your facial movement, asymmetries, and goals.

One suite. One standard.
Our La Jolla studio is designed around the same principles that guide our care — north-facing natural light, a standardized photo booth, a single treatment chair per suite, and a quiet waiting room that doesn't feel like a clinic.
